Perhaps it was a specific type of contractual agreement, as in: up-front payment on a one-record basis, or up-front payment with the potential of successive business after a sated sales quota. Or a CM/Dover/Client revenue-sharing situation.

Nobility: 701: 186-L-781 / 186-L-782 702: 186-L-842 / 186-L-843 702A (looks to be a 1:1 reissue of 702, but may have a different Code): 702B: 186 L 1445 / 186 L 1446 703: 186-L979 / 186-L980 704: 186-L-1038 / 186-L-1039 705: 186-L1088 / 186-L1089 706: 186-L-1134 / 186-L-1135 707: 186-L-1298 / 186-L-1299 (B-side probable) 708: 186-L-1381 / 186-L-1382 709: 186-L-1383 / 186-L-1384 710: 186-L-1660 / 186-L-1661 711: 133-L-1701 / 133-L-1702 (Shalom issue)(B-side probable)
Dulai: 800: 255-L2413 / 255-L2414
Questions to be resolved: are there alternate Shalom Records Codes? Bourbon Records Codes? Is 702A Coded differently than 702?
All in all, this discovery accounts for at least 26 new Codes.

Many thanks to W.Luck, peterh, Monola & Red for doing the heavy lifting and gathering all the worms back into the can I inadvertently opened. Unfortunately between earning a living and caring for an ailing wife, I haven't as much time available as I'd like to devote to this excellent project. Imagine if all companies workers and our various governments elected officials could row the boat in the same direction as strenuously as the dedicated people of this site..... Again, thanks to all who contributed to this thread.

Gents: I have started the process of adding all of these, and have a quick question re Nobility 707: peterh wrote: For 707 (Barbarin's Best) one side has code 186-L-1298, so probably the other side is 186-L-1299. As a general rule, we haven't 'assumed' the other side if both adjoining codes are still missing... as 1297 and 1299 are. BUT - in this case, if 1298 is assigned to 'side one' - we'd go with 1299. Is it?? Your OCD friend - red

...and the same can be said for SHALOM 711: . red kelly wrote: As a general rule, we haven't 'assumed' the other side if both adjoining codes are still missing... As both 1700 and 1702 are still missing. Do we know if 1701 was Side One??

Red, I think that it's indeed very likely that 707 and 711 have the assumed codes. For 707, there's a gap of 4 codes, 1296-1299, and all entries around this period have consecutive codes. So if one is 1298, the other is almost certainly 1299 (with 1296/1297 another pair for a missing entry). For 711 the code is indeed for side 1, as the photo for this earlier in the thread shows. But it's up to you of course to decide how to deal with these assumed codes.

It shouldn't be too hard to e-mail a seller of these LPs (and 702A) to find out the missing codes. I'm at work and cannot do this right now.

OK FOLKS!! Thanks for all of your efforts here! - I agree on the 'assumed' codes, and we're gonna go with them until we prove otherwise... SO - http://cosimocode.com/lps.htmlTHE LPs PAGE has now been updated with all 13 of these albums, and they have been added to their respective places on the 'year' pages - The Client Numbers page has been updated accordingly, and all 26 codes have been removed from among The Missing!! The only images I could actually use for the page, however, were Dubai 800 (all) and the Nobility 701 Front Cover and Side One (although Nobility 708 side one was fine, without a cover I don't want to add it yet). I made the command decision to get them all up there and linked, pending the addition of future scans... which I'm sure we'll get to eventually. A MAJOR find and the kind of collaborative effort this site is all about... You Guys Rock!!-red
