I would say, judging from the sound, and the fact that Wardell was involved, that there's no doubt... at this point there was not really any alternative... as Hannusch pointed out, the Ruffino 'studio' was probably just for demos...

Hi, according to Times-Picayune, March 25, 1965, page 10, Joseph "Joe" Ruffino, "father of Ronald, Joseph Jr. and Richard Ruffino", died at 9:30, p. m., Tuesday, March, 23, 1965. He was 43 years old and the husband of Marjorie Parillo.
