Folks:

Not sure if you have seen this article in the L.A. Times:

Which tells the story of how 16 boxes of 1/2" 'safety tapes' were just recently uncovered at a 'swap meet' out in Los Angeles. Among them are many from the Cosimo Era, like these:

Which appears to contain the original mix of The Meters' "Sophisticated Sissy" from September of 1968!

I've been in touch with the journalist who wrote the article, and hope to get a better look (and listen) to this amazing find soon... stay tuned!
