I didn't know this site existed. I recorded at Cosimo's in the early 60's. Thanks to all who reviewed my records. If I can contribute n any way please let me know.

Hey Errol, good to have you here with us!

When John Broven first got me involved in the project, the first record I found here in the house that wasn't already on the list was Valiant 3378 - This Is The End / Let Me Give You My Love... great stuff!

As far as contributing, I'm sure we'd all love to hear any memories or details about what the studio was like there on Governor Nicholls, who the musicians were on your sessions, etc. - any information at all you'd care to share with us about those days would be greatly appreciated - and if there are any actual photographs, we'd love to see them!

Once again, welcome aboard - it's great to have someone on the Team who was actually there!

'Billboard' seems to have been suitably impressed with you Errol! In their December 26th 1960 issue they review VALIANT 10002 'Let Me Give You My Love' as follows:- "Boy seems to have a good, strong pair of lungs and sells this ballad with authority. Male vocal group accompany and small combo take care of instrumental duties." They sure don't write 'em like that no more!

A quick 'net search revealed two photos of Errol 'Dee' Dauenhauer as lead vocalist in the Esquires band. I assume these are you in your younger days? If they are, are you any relation to Leonard James Dauenhauer who was regular a co-writer with Mac Rebbenack?
So many questions - so little time!
