Stones in New Orleans, late June 1972. The "barn-like" recording studio was most likely Cosimo Matassa's Jazz City, on Camp Street. I like to find out more about Stones in NOLA 1972. If you can add info, please, let me know. Wyman quoted in: "Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey: A Journey to Music's Heart & Soul", 2001.

Hello:

During some recent research into Jazz City, I did turn this up:

...from The Times Picayune 7/3/72

That 'Exile On Main Street' Tour was apparently WAY over the top. It was Rolling Stone, not The New Yorker, who had hired Capote to write about the scene, but he never completed the article, so they asked Andy Warhol to interview him instead:

-but he doesn't mention New Orleans.

Thanks!
